Green Sand Casting:
We have two kinds of green sand casting suppliers:
1) Factories with manual semi automatic that can handle low or medium volume of works or high weight products.
2) Factories with high-pressure moulding machines, (Disamatics, KW, HWS etc) which produce the high-density moulds to meet the high volume demands
Advantages of Green Sand Casting
With the exception of pressure die casting highly automated green sand moulding lines are the most productive casting process. Moulding rates up to 400 per hour can be achieved from one set of tooling.
Low cost iron castings can be produced from highly automatic moulding lines.
Fairly simple process
Suited to complex shapes, and cores.
Versatile casting process. (Can be used for low volume production)
Low to medium pattern equipment costs.
